Myocardial infarction is a common cardiovascular disease that occurs in all societies, both developed and underdeveloped, at varying rates, and limits people's daily physical activities. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of Streptokinase on acute myocardial infarction in patients who presented to the hospital within 12 hours of the onset of chest pain. The present study is a prospective, cross-sectional, randomized experimental study that was conducted at a specific point in time by completing a questionnaire and observing the patient for one year, i.e., 2019, at the Mazar-e-Sharif Regional Hospital. Among 100 patients with acute myocardial infarction with ST segment elevation, who were studied by completing a file, questionnaire and observation, two groups of 50 people with the same characteristics were studied. Among the 62% of males who received Streptokinase, 40% of them did not find the drug effective, and only 22% of the males under study showed the effectiveness of the drug, and among the 38% of women who took Streptokinase, only 13% were effective and over 26% of them the said medicine was not proven effective. 50% of the people were addicted to smoking. Only 12% of the people under study were exposed to complications. Advancing Age in 72% of the patients and Hypertension in 55% of the patients were established as major risk factors and Diabetes mellitus was considered in only 9% of the patients. Acute myocardial infarction was associated with valvular heart diseases by 1% but with hypertension by 54%, which represents a very high percentage
