Abstract

In Islamic mysticism, the human being holds a distinguished position, and according to the views of the mystics, the Perfect and Ideal Human occupies the rank of God’s vicegerent, serves as the comprehensive manifestation of the Divine Names, functions as the medium of Divine grace, and represents the axis of existence and the ultimate goal of the existential journey. This study aims to examine the manifestations of the Ideal and Perfect Human in the poetry of Hydari Wojudi, who is regarded as the final link in the chain of mystical poets in Persian-Dari literature. The objectives of the research are to clarify the mystical dimensions of the Perfect Human in Wojudi’s poetry and to analyze how this concept reflects the human journey toward transcendence and perfection. Using a qualitative content analysis method, the study analyzes selected poems through Qur’anic, mystical, and literary concepts, drawing upon Islamic mystical thought, particularly Ibn Arabi's theory. The findings indicate that Hydari Wojudi portrays the multifaceted dimensions of the exalted human image through poetic language enriched with Qur’anic allusions and mystical symbolism. His poetic oeuvre emphasizes three central dimensions: the existential status of the Perfect Human, his central role in the cosmos, and his absence or concealment in the contemporary era. The results further show that essential qualities such as truthfulness, compassion, humility, dynamism, spiritual solitude, and attention to Divine unity are fundamental attributes of the Perfect Human. Ultimately, the study identifies the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as the supreme exemplar of the Perfect Human.
